POSITION TITLE:   DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR - FULL TIME – SHIFT:  DAY 

SALARY RANGE:  Salaried                                              SUPERVISOR:  Mgr of Marketing Analytics

JOB LOCATION:    Choctaw Resort Development Enterprise (CRDE) - Database Operations

                                  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Oversee mail-out and tracking of all mail offers, newsletters tournament and special event invitations.  Responsible for all direct mail programs

·         Plan, schedule and report property database marketing efforts.

·         Responsible for data mining by utilizing data queries to evaluate and utilizing property databases for statistical information and mail lists.

·         Complete a variety of AS400, SAS, Microsoft Access and Excel queries, reports, logs and forms, providing a high level of accurate information which may be utilized in making informed decisions.

·         Oversee the verification and accuracy in information maintained in the Player Tracking and Data-Warehouse systems, including but not limited to player, groups, or program information uploaded or retrieved.

·         Provide superior decision-making and excellent judgment in evaluating the business situations and opportunities associated with all direct mail offers, events and tournaments prior to the communication or commitment of any facilities or services.

·         Utilize technological advances to provide greater efficiency and effect in trip generation and database growth.

·         Establish and utilize database structures for strategic planning by studying methods of improving analysis measurements.

·         Oversee data input standards and database maintenance.

·         Responsible for the execution and tracking of customer account adjustments.

·         Obtain feedback from casino personnel and marketing other marketing on promotional/direct mail performance.

·         Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in performing all aspect of their assigned.

·         Assist in planning the budget for database marketing programs.

·         Maintain familiarity with new technologies and systems to evaluate and report departmental and property needs.

·         Assist in protecting and safeguarding all property assets.

·         Maintain and assist in promoting outstanding customer service levels.

·         Assist in completing special projects and assisting other Marketing staff as requested and/or required.

·         Supervise department staff and manage workflow for Database Coordinator(s).

·         Perform all other duties, task and responsibilities necessary to meet the responsibilities of the position and the Resort’s operations or as assigned and/or requested by the Manager of Marketing Analytics or Executive Director of Marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·         Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.

·         Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission..

·         Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and excellent organizational skills.

·         Must possess Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the areas of Business Management, Marketing, Finance, or Accounting.

·         Must possess strong analytical, mathematical and statistical skills.

·         Must possess proficient computer skills including a preference for the knowledge and prior use of:  Microsoft Windows, all aspects of Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CMS or a comparable player tracking system, LMS or a comparable hotel tracking system, Stratton Warren and Lawson.

·         Working knowledge of SAS data-warehouse products or a comparable data storage and querying system preferable.

·         Experience in database management is required, preferably within a casino environment.

·         Experience in finance and/or MIS preferred.

·         Must have the ability to deal well with change and uncertainty and flexible enough to adapt with a sensible response to the situation at hand.

·         Must possess the cognitive ability to deal effectively with people under highly demanding conditions.

·         Must have a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and to deploy resources effectively.

·         Must have the ability to meet established goals and objectives within the set deadlines.

·         Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

·         Budgeting and planning experience required.

·         Self-motivated and strong people skills.

·         Must be maintain and work with the highest degree of integrity.         

·         Must be able to sit for extended periods, sometimes in excess of 4 hours.

·         Excessive use of a computer is probable and possible eye strain may be possible throughout the assigned shift.

·         Must be able to lift and maneuver at least forty (40) pounds.

·         Bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling required throughout shift.

·         Must be able to work within a smoke filled environment.
