JOB LOCATION:           BOGUE HOMA – Executive department



·         Provide outstanding Guest and Associate service while performing their assigned duties, including interpreting and conveying information about the Resort, the amenities and services that are available and the events and concerts that are scheduled at Pearl River Resort.

·         Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality while performing all assigned duties.

·         Provide superior administrative support to the General Manager of Bok Homa Casino and to the Administration – staff as requested.

·         Maintain the General Manager‘s daily appointment schedule, including the scheduling of departmental meetings for those departments assigned to this position within the established organizational structure.

·         Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare facilities and record and transcribe minutes of meetings as required.

·         Provide information to callers, take dictation, provide correspondence and otherwise relieve officials of clerical work and minor administrative duties.

·         Coordinate correspondence and other documentation by reading and routing incoming mail and documents; locating and attaching the appropriate file(s) to the correspondence; copying the correspondence or other printed materials and preparing the outgoing mail and correspondence; to include any required e-mails and/or faxes.

·         Compose and type routine correspondence, reports or other documents as requested or required.

·         Operate basic office equipment in order to complete assigned duties.

·         Communicate in a professional manner with the department staff, other departments, visitors, and vendors.

·         Maintain and enter Associate payroll information according to Resort procedures, as applicable.

·         Maintain and document Associate attendance information including, but not limited to, PTO, vacation, LOA, absences, tardiness, sick days and disciplinary actions. 

·         Handle the duties assigned to this position, which include conveying information throughout the property to ensure quality service is promptly provided.

·         Organize and maintain a file system, and file correspondence and other records in a timely manner according to standard filing systems, alphabetically, numerically and categorically.

·         Assist in operating the Office in accordance with the Choctaw Gaming Commission regulations, internal controls, federal, state and local laws and all policies and procedures affecting Pearl River Resort towards protection and safeguarding all property assets.

·         Conduct research, compile and prepare statistical reports and spreadsheets, as requested or required.

·         Prepare Travel Authorizations for General Manager, assigned staff members and other personnel as requested.

·         Participate in Associate related activities and committees throughout the Resort, as necessary or as directed.

·         Perform all other duties as assigned or required in order to meet the responsibilities of the position and for the Resort’s operations.


·         Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.

·         Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

·         An Associate’s degree (AA) from an accredited college, university or technical school, and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience is required.  An equivalent combination of education and experience equaling these requirements may be accepted in lieu of the Associate’s degree. 

·         Must be computer literate in the appropriate software.  Must have a thorough understanding and experience in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint).  Knowledge of Lawson, Stratton Warren and Org Plus is preferred.

·         Must possess excellent communication skills both oral and written.

·         Must possess the ability to handle sensitive and/or stressful situations or information with tact, discretion and significant awareness of confidentiality.

·         Must have a professional appearance and demeanor and have the ability to work with high ranking executives, VIPs and dignitaries on a constant basis

·         Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as internal controls, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedures manuals.

·         Must have the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, e-mails and other documents with speed and accuracy.  Must take the Keyboarding and Excel tests prior to submitting an application (see below).  Must score a minimum of 45 WPM, with an accuracy rating of 85% or better on the Keyboarding test and achieve a score of 70% or better on the Excel test.

·         Must demonstrate the ability to compose routine business letter/correspondence.

·         Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends and holidays and overtime, as required.

·         Must be able to lift and maneuver at least forty (40) lbs.

·         Must be able to walk or stand for 50% of their assigned shift.

·         Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

·         Bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling may be required throughout shift.

·         Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

·         Must be able to work within a smoke filled environment.
