CHOCTAW, MS (March 1, 2011) – Pearl River Resort today announced the appointment of John McCormick to the position of Director of Hotel Operations. In this capacity, he will work with Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Susan O’Connell on all areas of responsibility of the Silver Star and Golden Moon Hotels.
McCormick has been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years. Most recently he served as Director of Hotel Operations for Peppermill Casino Resort, Reno NV. In that role he was responsible for the overall operation of the hotel, including front desk, valet, bell services, transportation and housekeeping. Among numerous other positions, McCormick has also served as Vice President of Operations for Thunder Valley Casino, Sacramento, CA; Director of Hotel Operations for Stations/Ameristar Hotel and Casino, Kansas City, MO; Director of Hotel Operations for Hollywood Hotel and Casino, Tunica, MS; Director of Hotel Operations for Sands Hotel, Casino and Country Club, Atlantic City, NJ; and Assistant Director of Hotel Operations for Sands Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, NJ.

Opening of The Arena at Golden Moon Sparks Return of Entertainment Executive ...continue

CHOCTAW, Miss. (February 16, 2011) -- The Pearl River Resort operated by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, announced today the appointment of Douglas J. Lindfors as Director of Entertainment. The appointment marks a return to Pearl River Resort for Lindfors, who served as the Entertainment Director in 2008 and 2009. Lindfors will oversee and manage all facets of entertainment for Pearl River Resort including programming and booking of the Resort’s live entertainment for the Arena at Golden Moon.

Lindfors returns to Pearl River Resort with an even greater wealth of experience within the Entertainment industry, having most recently served as General Manager/Director of Operations and Production at Live Nation/Verizon Wireless Amphitheater located in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Prior to that, he served as Entertainment Director for Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Hollywood, Fl where he was responsible for the management of construction for Hard Rock Live, a 5500 seat, multi-purpose facility.
